Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies Zinx OS uses, why we use them, and the choices you have. For broader context, see our Privacy Policy.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. It lets the site remember things between page loads, like whether you're signed in. We also use related technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage; this policy covers all of them.

What we use

We use two kinds of cookies and similar storage. Strictly necessary cookies make the app work and are always on. One optional category, analytics and session replay, follows your region's consent rules: where opt-in consent is required (the EU, UK, and EEA) it stays off until you agree; in opt-out regions (such as the US) it runs by default and you can switch it off below at any time. We never run advertising cookies, and we never sell your data.

Strictly necessary cookies don't require opt-in consent under GDPR, but you can still clear them from your browser at any time. Your choice on the banner or on this page always wins over the regional default.

Strictly necessary

Always on
  • Sign-in

Keeps you signed in so you don't have to log in on every page. We never share it with anyone else.

How long it lasts: Until you sign out, or after about a week of inactivity

  • Workspace preferences

Remembers small in-app choices like whether your sidebar is open or collapsed.

How long it lasts: About a week

  • Cookie consent

Saves the choice you made on the cookie banner so we don't ask you again on every visit.

How long it lasts: About a year

Analytics & session replay

Off by default
  • Product analytics & session replay

We use PostHog to understand how the product is used and to replay sessions (with all text and form inputs masked) so we can find and fix bugs. Off until you opt in where opt-in consent is required (EU, UK, EEA); on by default with an easy opt-out elsewhere (such as the US). Never used for advertising.

How long it lasts: About a year, or until you withdraw consent

  • Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate traffic and how visitors find and move through the site. It sets _ga cookies that tell visits apart. Advertising features and ad personalization are turned off, so it's never used for advertising. Follows the same regional consent rules as above.

How long it lasts: Up to 2 years, or until you withdraw consent

Your choices

You can:

  • Block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Note that if you block essential cookies, you won't be able to sign in or use Zinx OS.
  • Adjust your optional cookie preferences below.
  • Reset your consent record so the banner re-appears on your next visit.

Email notifications

Email consent is handled separately from cookies, in your account's notification settings. We split emails into three categories: Account & security (always on, required), Product updates (opt-out, on by default), and Offers & promotions (opt-in, off by default). See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.

Changes

If we add new optional cookies or trackers, we'll update this page and re-prompt you for consent before they're set.
